Traditional Carols by Candlelight at St Peter’s

Important Information regarding the Carols by Candlelight Service at St Peter’s on Sunday 19th December 2021

We are really looking forward to welcoming people to our Carols by Candlelight service in person this coming Sunday at 6pm as this is always one of the highlights in our church calendar.

However our first priority is to make sure people are as safe as possible, especially in view of the rapidly increasing number of cases triggered by the new Omicron variant of Covid-19.

It is now a legal requirement that everyone aged 11 and over wears a face mask at all times while in the church building, unless they have a medical exemption.

Although it is not a legal requirement we also request that everyone attending does a lateral flow test earlier in the day.

Hand sanitiser will be available as usual for people to use on entry and exit and the building will be well ventilated, so please dress accordingly.

We are expecting a much lower attendance than in previous years for obvious reasons but we will still have the normal extra seating available in the Chancel and in the North Aisle, so that, unless we are at capacity, there will be space to spread out.

The service will also be streamed via our Facebook Page for those unable to attend in person.

We do hope that you can join us to worship God together at this very special service.
