Last year we held our First Family Fun Day in partnership with GLL Better at the Evreham Sports Centre. This was called The Ivers Family Fun Day and was aimed at community cohesion.
It ran from 12 till 4 on Saturday 8th July.
We were blessed with the most beautiful day.
We had grants from BAA Heathrow, Relay and Iver Parish Council
It was jolly hard work for the organisers on the day (starting at 6 am and finishing at 7 pm) but it was worth it. The Community Spirit which we felt during the day was amazing and I think everybody had a jolly good time.
THIS YEAR THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY 7TH JULY 2018.
This year we have already confirmed

The Running StormTrooper – Jez Allinson has kindly agreed to come in costume.
Jez raises money for children’s charities and has undertaken some epic runs.
This has included the London Marathon and 100km round Black Park
and Pinewood Studios. Come and have your photo taken with him in return for
a donation to Make A Wish and Spread a Smile. Very worthwhile children’s charities.
He raised over £13,000 last year and achieved a place in the Guiness Book of
Records for fastest Marathon dressed as a Star Wars character (male).
You will be amazed by his determination and stamina.
Jez will be doing the London marathon for the third and final year as the Stormtrooper this year 2018, plus on May the 17th he will be attempting to run 100km in the costume around Black Park and Pinewood Studios (like the 40 miler last year). See his page for more details

Feedback from last year
The event was well organised, all the volunteers were extremely friendly and helpful. I did well on the day with sales, and the entertainment on stage was fantastic. I would love to be part of it again next year.
Yes I was really pleased with how the event went and have already had new members joining my groups this week because of seeing me there.
I think my advert looked great in your programme,
Thank you for all your help with our first stall at The Ivers Family Fun Day on Saturday and our congratulations on a successful day. We really enjoyed all the festivities, and we believe that having the stall at The Ivers Family Fun Day will be quite beneficial for us as we met some great contacts in the local community.
We thought it was an excellent day, very well organised! There was a really lovely atmosphere throughout the day. It really did feel like a community!
Also, we thought that it was brilliant not allowing alcohol onto the site and that it worked well finishing at 4pm.
